Anne Wheeler is one of Canada's most prolific directors and has the distinction of having directed "Little Sister," the first three episodes of Da Vinci's Inquest in 1998. She then directed "A Cinderella Story," the first two episodes of Season II, "It's a Bad Corner" Season III, and "Send in the Clowns" Season VI.
She began her filmmaking career at the National Film Board of Canada, making documentaries and short dramas. Her first feature, Loyalties, won numerous awards at international festivals, and was followed by Cowboys Don't Cry (Genie nomination, Best Film), Bye Bye Blues (Genie nomination, Best Direction) and Angel Square. She went on to direct the MOWs The Diviners, Other Women's Children, The Investigation, Betrayed, and the mini-series The Sleep Room. Wheeler's recent work in features includes Marine Life, starring Cybill Shepherd, and Better Than Chocolate and Suddenly Naked, both starring Wendy Crewson. Her work in television series includes Jozi-H, This is Wonderland and Godiva's.
